Our Beginning
In April of 2025, Zion Resurrection Church officially launched with our first worship service being held at the Upton Community Center. Since that time, we have experienced God’s grace, goodness, and provision in so many profound ways and we have experienced the Holy Spirit move in amazing ways!
Our Story
Zion Resurrection Church was born from the faith and perseverance of believers from two small community churches navigating significant denominational changes and challenges.
As policies, doctrines, and organizational directions shifted within the denomination, these congregations prayerfully faced a difficult decision regarding their future. After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance, they chose to step away and begin a new independent, non-denominational ministry rooted in their shared convictions and vision for the Gospel.
While that decision meant leaving behind the church properties they had long called home, the people of these congregations remained committed to following where they believed God was leading them.
Our Current Home
We have been blessed to be able to use the Upton Community Center to begin our ministries as Zion Resurrection Church, and we are so thankful to our community for providing this resource. However, we know this is only a temporary dwelling for us, and eventually we will need to establish a permanent home for our church’s ministries.
Our Promise Land
In Exodus we see how God took the Israelites out of Egypt, provided for all of their needs during their journey, and brought them into the promised land. In a similar way, God has brought us out, and is taking us on an amazing journey, where we see Him meet all of our needs. We believe, that in His time, He will lead us to our promise land, our own church home.
Beyond Our Walls
Not only are we believing God to provide what we need for our ministries, but we have pledged to give a portion of the proceeds from this campaign to build our sister church in Rajome, Kenya, and to aid in the missional needs of their community.
Together, We Are Building for Eternity.
Thank you for your gifts and your prayers for our ministries!
All gifts are tax deductible.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
